8 fave you tube clips

Our little family love nothing more than a good laugh and a good dance-off. We gather in our lounge room and dance to music video clips and watch You Tube videos for a fun night in. I love watching my tornadoes laugh hysterically or boogie along in their own unique style to some of our favourite tunes.

Here are 8 of our current favourite You Tube clips – 7 are kid friendly and the last one is a personal favourite that is more suited to bigger kids!

The Muppets – Bohemian Rhapsody

I’m a huge Muppets fan and love all the videos they post on You Tube. All the gang are here in this clever and funny clip. Miss T particularly likes Animal or as she calls him – “Mama”. I’m more of a Beaker fan.

Walk on the Wild Side

Walk on the Wild Side is a 2009 British comedy sketch show shown on BBC One. It involves the overdubbing of voiceovers to natural history footage, to give the appearance of the animals doing the talking.

Alan/Steve, night time/day time, a beatboxing squirrel, a moonwalking bird named Kevin – plus many more. As a result of this clip we now play “night time, day time” with the tornadoes using their bath towels as wings. Watch this clip and you’ll get it.

Minions – Banana Song

I apologise in advance for this one. It’s only 50 seconds but the tornadoes love it. The tune WILL get stuck in your head but the ending makes me laugh every time.

Feist sings 1 2 3 4

There are so many great clips from Sesame Street but this 1 2 3 4 song from Feist is just joyful.

Pöpcørn

Another Muppets gem featuring (in my opinion) the world’s best celebrity chef – The Swedish Chef.

Supercats

I couldn’t do a You Tube summary without including a funny cat video. You can lose hours in cat video heaven/hell but this (thankfully) short clip has Miss T in hysterics.

And then there’s this…

We are trying to musically educate the tornadoes and introduce them to our own favourites . Usually these sessions end in Handy Hubby getting sidetracked and finding dodgy 80s and 90s music videos.

As a result, Mr TT now constantly asks for “Ice Ice Babeeee, Mummy!” I don’t know what has drawn Mr TT to this clip but as soon as he starts dancing like Vanilla Ice and saying “word to ya mother,” I’m putting a stop to it.

Death Star Canteen

This clip is for the bigger kids. There’s a couple of swear words but it still remains one of my all time favourite clips on You Tube. Comedian Eddie Izzard’s stand-up routine is put to Lego animation and the results are hilarious.

I hope these clips give you some giggles and smiles for the weekend!
