From new season clothing to accessories, wooden toys, activity sets and some Star Wars goodness, here are 9 of my favourite new gift ideas for babies and kids, spotted on the interwebs this past month. This month’s collection comes with added sparkle…
This new release from fabulous Aussie brand Tiger Tribe has me very excited – I used to love Shrinkies as a kid! Available in Sweet Treats and Ultimate Collection designs, these affordable activity sets would make a great gift for crafty kids aged 5 and over.
I spotted these cheap and cheerful wooden block sets at Kmart – suitable for ages 18 months and over, there’s 30 colourful blocks in each set with Fairy Castle and Farm designs (and they’re only $10!).
Another gorgeous wooden toy find – this Shape Clock Chunky Puzzle appeals to my love of wooden toys, puzzles and practical gifts. With moveable hands and bright rainbow colours, this puzzle is a fantastic way to introduce the concept of time to little ones as well as sorting and number sequencing. Spotted at Lucas Loves Cars (who also happens to be celebrating its 5th birthday this month. A great achievement for a small Aussie business!).
Loving these glitter crowns from Tasmanian maker Schooza. What a fancy and sparkly way to celebrate a little one’s birthday!
It’s all about Star Wars in our house thanks to Mr TT’s latest obsession. This Insulated Tote Bag and these Chop Sticks from Little Bento World would both get his tick of approval!
The clothing from Melbourne-based streetwear label Alphabet Soup has such a super cool, edgy, skate and surf feel. I’m loving their Winter ’17 collection, including this denim shirt (sizes 1 through to 8) and Blend Beanie.
I’m a little bit in love with this Rock & Pebble Teddy Bear Book. A fun and original idea for budding fashion designers or any little (or big) creative who loves to draw and create. There’s even some elastic bands included to help hold the pages so that your new teddy friend can sit up once it is all dressed up!
Glitter! Donuts! How fun is this sparkly over the shoulder bag by Aussie label Milk & Soda? Spotted at Mini Marche, a super cool kids store in Fremantle, W.A.
Miss T devoured the new Hot Dog book by clever Aussie author/actor/comedian/artist Anh Do (you can read her review of the first Hog Dog book here). Hot Dog: Book 2 – Party Time is as funny as the first release and a great read for kids between 5 and 8.
Happy gift hunting!
