Christmas themed gifts for babies and kids

And so it begins! Throughout November I’ll be featuring a bumper selection of baby and kids gift guides to help you with the tricky question of “what do I buy a X year old?!” Before I let loose with specific age group gift guides, let’s get into the festive spirit with a focus on Christmas themed gifts.

From baby’s first Christmas to personalised decorations, craft, advent calendars, cute accessories, books and a new little friend to watch over naughty and nice children, here are my favourite Christmas themed gifts.

Be sure to enter my Instagram giveaway too! Read on for details on how you could win an Elf for Christmas, new to Australia for Christmas 2016.

Perth’s Clay and Clasp make beautiful handmade polymer clay jewellery and their Christmas earrings are oh so cute.

Personalised ornaments are unique Christmas gifts that can be treasured year after year. I love these simple clay star and heart decorations and wooden bamboo ornaments.

Nothing says “Aussie Christmas” like these awesome ornaments from the clever folk at Make Me Iconic.

These wooden dinosaur ornaments handmade in the ACT from Tasmanian Oak would be a unique addition to the tree for any dinosaur obsessed kid!

Handmade using silver plated beads with a Swarovski crystal star element, the Little Moments Christmas Wishes bracelet by Aussie maker Mad Alice Jewellery would make a beautiful and affordable Christmas gift.

The excitement of waking up to a sackful of gifts is even more special when that sack has your name on it! Melbourne’s Colour and Spice has a fantastic range of personalised sacks

…or kids can always make their own with this DIY Santa Sack kit from Blank Canvas Designs.

Wherever LEGO Advent Calendars are stocked, they sell out like hotcakes. Get in quick for these fun alternatives to chocolate advent calendars, available in LEGO City, LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Friends themes. Another non-chocolate option is the fun Smiggle Advent Calendar full of Smiggle stationery goodness.

Unlike that helper on a shelf who has parents scratching their heads for creative ideas, Elf for Christmas features an Elf Toy (boy or girl) with a magical reward kit that is focused on good behaviour and promoting kindness and sharing. Originally from the UK and winner of three toy awards, Elf for Christmas is launching in Australia for Christmas 2016.

Each kit includes a Christmas Elf (boy or girl), an arrival letter from Santa, mini Elf report cards, letter to Santa templates, official nice list certificates, reward chart and sheet of Elf stickers, beware of the Elf sign and Santa Please Stop Here sign, a departure letter from Elf and a thank you postcard (that Elf can send in January). What fabulous and helpful tools for parents! Elf’s kindness motto is “Treat others as you want to be treated.” Anything that promotes kindness is a winner in my book.

If you’d like to WIN an adorable Elf and Magical Reward Kit (your choice of boy or girl elf) valued at $49.99 head on over to Gift Grapevine on Instagram for all the details. Entries close midnight November 11, 2016 (WST).

These pack of 10 reindeer lollipop holders from Queensland’s Glitter and Glue Designs would make fantastic gifts for little school friends.
