And so it begins for another year – gift guide time! Throughout November I’ll be featuring a bumper selection of baby and kids gift guides to help with the tricky question of “what do I buy a X year old?!” Before I let loose with specific age group gift guides, let’s get festive with a focus on Christmas themed gifts.
From personalised decorations, craft, toys, advent calendars, cute accessories and books, here are my favourite Christmas themed gifts for babies and kids.
Perth’s Clay and Clasp make beautiful handmade polymer clay jewellery and their Christmas earrings are super cute. Available in Santa, Christmas Pudding, Gingerbread Man, Penguin, Rudolph, Snowman and Santa Hat, you can also order to mismatch!
Pottery Barn Kids has an adorable Christmas collection. I love these Merry and Bright plates and tumblers.
Personalised ornaments (like these bamboo ones from Aussie maker Colour & Spice) are unique Christmas gifts that can be treasured year after year.
Thongs, fairy bread, Vegemite, a dog in the back of a ute – nothing says “Aussie Christmas” like these fun Make Me Iconic ornaments.
Kids can make their own Santa Sack with a DIY kit from Blank Canvas Gifts. Sadly, this Perth small business is closing down so you’ll need to get in quick!
LEGO has Christmas sorted with a Christmas DUPLO set for the little ones, an amazing LEGO Creator Expert Winter Holiday Train for bigger kids and the always popular LEGO Advent Calendars in Friends, Star Wars and City sets.
Another non-chocolate option is the fun Smiggle Advent Calendar packed with 25 limited edition Smiggle stationery goodies.
Queensland’s Glitter and Glue Designs make fantastic lollipop holders – perfect for gifts for little school friends. Available in a number of festive designs, the koala is my favourite!
The festive designs handmade in Australia by TopKnot Girl are perfect for the Christmas season. I’m loving their 2017 Christmas collection.
Don’t forget books! Build up the anticipation for Santa’s arrival with festive titles including Pig the Elf, Santa’s Secret, Stick Man, That’s Not My Santa and That’s Not My Elf.
Keep an eye on the Etsy shop of Sydney’s Funny Little Things Crayons – new Christmas collections are on their way soon!
Another sweet Etsy find, celebrate a royal Christmas with these bronze and gold faux-leather crowns for kids from Hobart’s Schooza.
My tornadoes love their Christmas stencil cards – they’re used all year round however get an especially good workout at Christmas for lots of homemade cards and pictures.
Keep kids aged 6 and over busy with this book all about Christmas drawing, doodling and colouring.
I’ve only just begun! Stay tuned to the blog for more gift guides coming your way throughout November. You can also stay up to date with gift ideas on Gift Grapevine on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram.
Happy gift hunting!
Tash xx
