Each year I approach Easter with excitement and fear. Excitement about spending time with family and friends and fear of my tornadoes and I falling into a chocolate induced coma.
Taking into account gifts from family, friends and friendly strangers dressed up as the Easter Bunny at Bunnings, my tornadoes are exposed to way too much chocolate. I have nothing against giving chocolate. Sometimes it’s just nice to think outside the box and give something different (but appreciated just as much).
From beautiful baby gifts to kid’s craft, books, clothes, accessories and other goodies, here is a bumper selection of Easter gift ideas. I’ve tried to keep gifts affordable and practical. It can be all too easy to overlook the true meaning and spirit of Easter so there’s no need to go overboard.
You may notice there are no soft and fluffy cuddly bunnies or chicks in this list. I always hesitate giving stuffed toys as gifts – most kids are inundated with them. They may look cute but usually end up sitting on a shelf gathering dust. Too many stuffed toys is the reason I started this blog!
