At nearly 5 years of age, Mr TT has recently begun his Star Wars obsession. He loves building X-Wing fighters with LEGO, turns anything into a lightsaber and enthusiastically hums the Imperial March while deep in pretend play. He’s also a big fan of the “Mexican Falcon”. Millennium is a tough word for a 4 year old to grasp.
When it comes to ideas for Star Wars gifts, we’re spoilt for choice. However amongst the huge selection of LEGO sets, lightsabers and other plastic toys, I like to try and give gifts that are unique and practical – a quality gift that can be enjoyed by kids and appreciated by parents for years to come.
In celebration of International Star Wars Day on May 4 (as in “May the fourth be with you”), one of my favourite stores, Pottery Barn Kids, is offering 20% off their entire Star Wars collection for one week. I’m lucky to work in close proximity to a Pottery Barn Kids store. It’s lucky AND dangerous. Wandering through the selection of stunning children’s home furnishings and decorative accessories, I can easily shop up a storm.
