Happy Easter! I hope you’re getting ready for 4 days of family fun, relaxing, partying, chocolate – whatever makes you happy.
Easter has always been about spending time with family. This year my parents have given us a wonderful gift of a family holiday. All 14 of us – my parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, Handy Hubby and my tornadoes will be boarding the P&O Pacific Jewel for a 4 day cruise off the coast of WA.
It’s Mum and Dad’s way of introducing us to cruising – something they love. It’s also our first big family holiday with all 14 of us. I’m a bundle of emotions. Excited as it’s my first cruise. Grateful for this generous gift. Happy to be spending time with loved ones. Petrified as I’m expecting to spend 4 days chasing Mr TT around all 11 decks. He’s a runner and a climber. At least he’ll sleep well each night and I’ll get some exercise.
I do not foresee 4 days of cocktails by the pool. I do still expect a lot of fun. And I’m not going to say no to a cocktail or 3 after the tornadoes are tucked up in bed…..
I feel incredibly lucky to have a family and for us to spend this special time together. As Michael J Fox says in one of my favourite quotes: “Family is not an important thing, it’s everything.”
I hope you enjoy the next 4 days – whatever you do. If you have little or big kids you want to keep busy then check out this selection of free Easter printables. They may even distract them from chocolate for a few minutes!
This post from the always on the ball Cool Mom Picks features 10 gorgeous mandala style colouring-in sheets. They are a little more intricate than your standard colouring-in page which makes them perfect for older kids. I’d quite happily sit down and colour these in.
Made By Joel is a must visit for quirky and original free printables.
Coloring Book has a huge selection of free colouring-in pages including lots of cutesy Easter themed ones.
I love these cute Easter bunny garland printables from the creative and clever Bianca from A Little Delightful.
These fingerprint chicks may not be a printable, but I thought they were too cute not to share. Such a simple and fun idea.
What are your plans for Easter?
Have you been on a cruise? Any tips (apart from “drink more cocktails”)?
