From new season clothes and accessories to fun crafty gifts, wooden toys, cool décor, and baby sneakers to make you cluck, here are 11 of my favourite baby and kids gift ideas spotted on the interwebs this past month.
I love this super sweet organic flutter sleeve dress from NIOVI Organics, a new Aussie online clothing retailer specialising in organic clothing. It’s available in sizes 000 to 1 in three colours: lavender, monochrome and sky blue. One of the little extras I like about this design is that it has a tag free print-on label. That means no itchiness for bub’s super soft skin.
I spotted this new title out shopping last week – if you’re going to choose someone to write a guide to being cool, you can’t go past Batman! I particularly liked this gem of a tip from the caped crusader – “One of the best things about surprising people is using disguises. But the trickiest part of any disguise is hiding your individual swagger. It’s all about finding the right balance between swagger and surprise.” A fun book for kids aged 7 and over, I say bring on the LEGO Batman movie!
The Moon Picnic Make A Face is a wooden toy that helps children read emotions. It’s great for fine motor skills and starting discussions about how your little one is feeling (and how others around them are feeling).
Who says socks make a boring gift? Impossible when they are as cute as this sparkly Rainbow pair from Seed Heritage. Miss T received these for her birthday last month from my clever Aunty and she insisted on wearing them straight away!
This Bunny BowKnot Headband from clever Aussie maker TopKnot Girl is perfect for Easter. Stay tuned to the blog for this and more non-chocolatey gift goodness – my annual Easter gift guide is coming soon!
This awesome Empire Strikes Back sheet set from Pottery Barn Kids isn’t a new release however it’s worthy of inclusion in this month’s list for the fact that it’s currently more than 50% off on sale! I’ve grabbed a set to put away for Mr TT’s birthday later in the year.
This Racecar Night Light is perfect for kids crazy about cars. Dim the light for bedtime or set to maximum brightness to use as a side lamp. You can also set the sleep timer to automatically switch off after an hour. You can even cycle through a rainbow of colours or set the colour to one of many static colours. Too cool!
Shut the front door. These Down to the Woods pencils are bright, funky and totes amazeballs.
An affordable, fun and take-anywhere gift for budding artists aged 5 and over, Tiger Tribe How to Draw kits in Fantasy and Wild Kingdom designs make it easy for kids to learn how to draw a range of figures with simple step by step instructions.
The Donut Pom Maker is the tastiest looking craft tool – perfect for making beautiful, fluffy pom poms! This craft tool is best suited to older children, but younger children can still have success using thicker wool and some assistance from an adult to get it started and also to help cut and tie off the pom pom at the end.
And finally, let’s just take a moment to enjoy the extreme cuteness of the new season My First Volley range. Cluck cluck!
Happy gift hunting!
