If you were a fruit, you’d be a fine-apple! In this guest post, the lovely Simone from Play with Food has created a delicious DIY teacher appreciation gift idea (with free printable) for the special helpers in your life this year…
It’s the time of year when we start to look for end-of-year gifts. This is something that you can make with the kids for their teachers, babysitters or coaches. It’s a fun way to show your appreciation for all the fine work that they do.
The card printable gives you a gift tag with the instructions for making a moist and delicious pineapple slice. Download the printable here – DIY teacher appreciation gift – Pineapple Slice Printable. You provide the dry ingredients and the tin of crushed pineapple and they just need to add an egg and some butter.
First, have the kids help you measure all the dry ingredients into a mason jar. Buy a tin of crushed pineapple. You could then wrap the 2 jars up to look like a pineapple or give them in a gift bag. Print up the gift tag and voila – a perfect appreciation gift.
The Dry Ingredients:
1 cup (125g) plain flour
145g soft brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
