More than one million copies of the Treehouse series of books have been sold in Australia and New Zealand. Kids go nuts for these books and interest doesn’t seem to be waning with each release more popular than the last.
Beginning with The 13-Storey Treehouse in 2011, author Andy Griffiths and illustrator Terry Denton have added 13 levels with each new volume. Their latest book, The 52-Storey Treehouse, tripled the number of sales of the 39-Storey Treehouse in its first week.
Any book that gets kids (and especially reluctant readers) reading must be applauded!
My lovely and well-read niece Miss L is nearly 10 and is a big fan of the series. Here she reviews the most recent Treehouse book The 52-Storey Treehouse…..
Book: The 52-Storey Treehouse
Author: Andy Griffiths
Illustrator: Terry Denton
Characters: Andy and Terry. There are way more characters that I can’t count.
Best friends Andy and Terry live in a treehouse that is ever expanding. It started with 13, then 26 and 39, now it is 52. So what are you waiting for? Come on up.
There is a watermelon smashing level, a wave machine, life sized snakes and ladders game (with real snakes), a rocket powered carrot launcher, a ninja snail training academy and high tech detective technology. Which is handy because they have a mystery to solve – where is Mr Big Nose?
Ok, I have to say this is the most funniest book I have ever read.
I recommend this book to kids aged 7 and over. This book is for people who have a good sense of humour. If you are not feeling good this book always cheers you up and makes you laugh.
Thanks Miss L!
How awesome does a ninja snail training academy sound? I can’t wait until my tornadoes are old enough to start reading this fantastic and funny series of books.
Have you read The 52-Storey Treehouse?
