From cute nursery and kids décor to origami kits, beautiful baby clothes and the next big toy craze to hit our shores, here are some of my favourite gift idea picks spotted on the interwebs this month – so far!
“I love, you love, watermelon”…and I love this cute hand painted timber watermelon shelf and stool.
I used to love origami as a kid. From funny faces (suitable for 4 – 8 year olds) to fortune tellers (6 – 11 year olds) to origami planes (7 – 13 years), these kits would make original, inexpensive and crafty gifts.
Melbourne based label Wilson and Frenchy make beautiful baby clothes – perfect for gifts. Apart from this super cool bib, what really caught my eye in their winter arrivals was the Mr Tiger and Blue Woodlands range. The tiger reminds me of the character from one of my favourite kid’s books ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’.
Penny Scallan Design has released some lovely new products including bamboo mealtime sets, wooden money boxes and bookends. There are lots of different designs for boys and girls but my favourites are the pineapples.
Colourful light switch covers are a great way to brighten up a room without long term commitment.
I’m a little bit in love with the Woodlands range from SOOKIbaby especially the Little Lost Fox range (sizes up to 24 months). Oh for Mr TT to be little again!
And finally, to completely blow your mind – what would you say if I said you could have 100 water balloons filled with water, tied and ready to go in less than one minute?
It’s not crazy talk, it’s the next big toy craze for kids (and big kids). Bunch O Balloons has just won the Product of the Year award at this year’s Toy Fair and will hit Australian shores in July.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you…
Happy gift hunting everyone!
