My usual monthly gift picks post hit a snag this month. With too many fab finds for one post, I’ve split them into three. After focusing on my favourite décor and toys and craft finds last week, the spotlight is now on baby and kids clothing.
I see a lot of clothing for babies and kids on the interwebs (Instagram in particular) and when I’m out and about at the shops. Much of it is gorgeous but there’s also a trend in dressing kids in clothes that make them look older than they actually are. I think kids clothing should be comfortable and age appropriate. There’s no reason it can’t look cool as well. Kids should be allowed to be kids and their clothing should reflect that. Let them play!
So with that little rant over, here are 5 of my favourite clothing finds that tickled my fancy over the last few weeks (and would make great gifts too!).
I’m a sucker for a cute pair of kicks and these special edition Vans are pretty special indeed. Vans have collaborated with Disney to create some gorgeous baby and kids sneakers. They’re due instore in August.
These funky super soft stretch Detroit Pants are designed and made in Australia by Phoenix & The Fox. Made with 100% certified organic cotton, there are lots of designs in sizes 000 up to 4. They look so comfy that I think I want a pair too.
Mr TT was given this awesome new season Munster Kids Fun Stuff t-shirt for his birthday (thanks Aunty T!). Munster Kids designs clothes as “a tribute to all the little wild rebels out there”. Mr TT fits that bill perfectly!
Melbourne based Goo Collection have a cute selection of 100% organic cotton lycra leggings – perfect for babies and little ones on the move.
I love the bright and bold colours of the waterproof kids rain jackets by Rainkoat. Designed in Tasmania, they have a polyurethane outer and are lined with nautical striped 100% cotton fabric. Available in sizes 2 – 7.
Happy gift hunting!
