From cute wooden toys for pretend play to practical baby items and cool Aussie designed goodies for tweens and teens, here are 13 of my favourite gift idea picks spotted on the interwebs this past month.
How cool are the hand-painted bicycle bells from Newcastle (NSW) based Beep Bicycle Bells? These cuties are just a few of the many designs for kids and adults.
After my post about the lost art of a handwritten card, it was lovely to read of many people making their own cards (or getting their kids to make cards for them!). This Seedling Creative Cardmaking Kit would make a great gift for crafty kids who love to make their own cards.
Miss T and Mr TT love to play shops and cooking. Our little play kitchen gets a good workout although I’m not sure about the prices they charge for some of their produce. I thought $70,000 was a bit steep for a cookie made of Play-Doh. These eco timber wooden veggies would make a great addition to their pretend play antics.
This new pram liner from Bella Buttercup would make a practical gift for any new Mum. It’s soft quilted surface is comfy for little ones and doubles as a protector for the pram itself. It’s machine washable and reversible and available in two colour ways – Dusty Skies and Moody Dreams. One of these would have been very handy two years ago when Mr TT decdided to squish blueberries directly onto his pram seat…
The very creative Babs from Patchwork Cactus has gone and whipped up a collection of pillows, clocks, tote bags and iPhone cases covered in cute mountains. She’s a clever one that Babs!
This cute Alex & Ant summer fruits print shirt dress has me yearning for summer!
I’m loving the gorgeous new season knee high socks from Hubble and Duke, a local success story to come out of Fremantle and doing big things around the world. Their images on Instagram are simply beautiful!
Spotted by the lovely Michaela from Not Another Slippery Dip at the recent Life Instyle trade show in Melbourne, I’m in love with the gorgeous collection of wall fairies and hooks from The Wall Collective.
There’s so much fruity goodness in these stylish Bobo Choses melamine plates and cups. My tornadoes may not always finish their dinner, but at least it would look good on a pineapple plate!
I dare you not to smile when you see this little robot succulent planter. His name is Robbie and he is beyond cute.
This beautiful book clock would be a perfect addition to any tween or teen booklover’s room.
Once again I’ve found a gift for kids that I would totally
steal borrow for myself. Melbourne based The Zoo Keeper make custom rides (individually shaped out of Australian hardwoods) for little skater dudes and skater gals. They’re sturdy enough for us big kids too. Customise with a name, birth year, wheel colour and either Australian Spotted Gum or Blackbutt. It’s a splurge gift but it ticks three important boxes: personalised, unique and so very cool!
Happy gift hunting everyone!
